Terms of Use — SpotMyBook

Effective date: 21 October 2026

These terms apply when you use SpotMyBook: the Android app, the web app at app.spotmybook.com and the website spotmybook.com. By using SpotMyBook you agree to them. "We" means the developer of SpotMyBook; "you" means the person using it.

In short

1. Who can use it

You must be at least 13 years old. If you are under the age of adulthood where you live, a parent or guardian should agree to these terms with you.

2. Your account

3. Your library is yours

4. Sharing your library (household)

The owner of a Pro library can invite people with an invite code. Everyone in a household can see and change the shared library. Invite only people you trust. The owner can remove members, and members can leave at any time; the shared books stay with the household.

5. Free version, ads and SpotMyBook Pro

6. Fair use

Don't use SpotMyBook to break the law, to store content that isn't yours to share, or to harm the service or other people: no attempts to get into other people's accounts or libraries, no overloading or attacking the servers, no copying or reselling the service. We may suspend or close accounts that do.

7. Backups and availability

We work to keep SpotMyBook running and your library safe, and Pro keeps weekly online backups. Still, the service may sometimes be unavailable, and data can be lost through errors, outages or mistakes. Use Export library now and then to keep a copy of your own.

8. No warranty, and limits on liability

SpotMyBook is provided "as is". As far as the law allows, we don't give warranties beyond those the law requires, and we are not liable for indirect losses or for lost data. If we are liable to you for anything, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for SpotMyBook Pro. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that can't be limited.

9. Changes and ending

We may update SpotMyBook and these terms. If a change matters, we'll say so in the app or on this page before it applies, with a new effective date. If you don't agree, you can stop using SpotMyBook and delete your account. If we ever shut the service down, we'll give notice so you can export your library.

10. Law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. We'd always rather solve a problem together first: please write to us.
